Kenneth Robert Buchanan,

Kenneth R. Buchanan, Sr, 86, of Marietta, OH, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born March 19, 1933 in Weirton, WV, a son of the late Herman and Hilda Bumgard Buchanan. Kenneth was a graduate of Weir High School and Marietta College. He was owner/operator of Buchanan Enterprises which consisted of multiple businesses in the Marietta and the Mid-Ohio Valley areas. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed grouse hunting, raising pure breed German Shorthaired bird dogs and was an avid golfer. Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth R “Bob” and Crystle Buchanan of Parkersburg, WV, Randall C. and Linda Buchanan of Cincinnati, OH, Kevin G. and Jessie Buchanan of Marietta and Kendra and Dave Marsden of Columbus, OH; his sister, Catherine and Bill Herron of Alabama; former wife, Delores F. Buchanan of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Curtis R. and Jennifer Buchanan, Brandon R. Buchanan, Travis Buchanan, Fallon and Jim Cain and Austin and Lauren Buchanan; and two great-grandchildren, Rory Buchanan and Dash Cain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Buchanan.Private memorial services and inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
