Kenneth Ronald Berry, 25, of Fort Knox, Ky., formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on June 23, 2015 in Clarksville, Tenn.He was born Dec. 12, 1989, in Virginia, a son of Okey Kenneth Berry of Parkersburg and Candice Roberts Berry of Evansville, Ind.Kenneth attended Edison Junior High School where he was on the wrestling and football teams and was a 2009 graduate of Parkersburg South High School where he was on the wrestling team. After graduation he joined the U. S. Army and was currently associated with the 42nd Clearance Company, 19th Engineer Battalion, and had enlisted on April 27, 2010.He was stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y. with the 630th Clearance Co., was currently serving at Fort Knox, Ky. as a Combat Engineer and was receiving C.B.R.N. training at Fort Campbell, Ky.He had served one year in Afghanistan, from Oct. 2011 – Oct. 2012, and received numerous medals and awards for his service in the military, such as the Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievements Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal-Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge and Driver and Mechanic Badge with Operator. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and spending time playing with his children.He is survived byhis father, Okey Berry (Brenda Jeffrey); his mother, Candice Berry; his wife, Amber Moss Berry; three sons, Aaron, Kenneth “Tanner” and Kyler Berry, of the home; one sister, Heather Smith of Parkersburg; half-sister, Autumn Roberts of Indiana; three step-brothers, Heath and Keith Jeffrey, both of Parkersburg and Brandon Jeffrey of Huntington, W.Va.; paternal grandmother, Mildred Lockhart of Parkersburg; maternal grandmother, Barbara Roberts of Alabama; grandparents, Mitchell and Helen Belt of Vienna, W.Va.; father- and mother-in-law, Barry and Beverly Moss of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Amanda Rake (Jeremy) of Parkersburg and Jade Moss of Mineral Wells; and nieces and nephews, Peyton, Michael, Jase, Kaylie, Sydney and Addie.He was preceded in death by his two paternal grandfathers, Maurice Berry and Ronald Roberts; and great-grandparents from Belpre.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Celebration Center in Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Rob Clegg officiating.Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
