Keith Shockey, 62, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on July 26, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born August 27, 1950, in Ravenswood, W.Va., a son of Ila Trphena Smith Shockey of Parkersburg and the late Glen A. Shockey.Keith was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1968 and a graduate of Huntington Barber College. He was a barber by trade and owner/operator of Keith Shockey's Barber Service. He was a kind and generous person and enjoyed hearing and telling funny stories and jokes. He was a caring person with a soft heart, always wanting to help others. He enjoyed old cars and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was dedicated to his family and will forever be missed.In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Mark Shockey (Carolyn F.) Shockey of Vienna, W.Va. and Brian Shockey (Brenda) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Vicki Shockey of Ripley, W.Va.; nephew, Aaron Shockey of Cleveland, Ohio; and nieces, Amy Ray of Nashville, Tenn., Brenna Shockey of Ripley and Crystal Boyter of Davisville, W.Va.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Private family services and interment will be held at the Sunset Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family.
