Kathryn J. Miller Stoops

Kathryn J. Miller Stoops, 84, of Parkersburg, died on May 13, 2024.
She was born in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Miller. She was married in 1970 to Ronald V. Stoops who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her step-mother, Beulah Miller of Fairmont, and cousins, Thomas Marlowe of Pennsylvania and Richard Marlowe of Alabama.
She graduated from Fairmont State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received a Master’s degree from West Virginia University. She was employed as a school counselor at Edison Junior High School and retired from Wood County Schools with over three decades of service.
Respecting her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
The family wants to thank the staff at the Ohio Valley Health Care for the excellent care Kathryn received during her stay.
