Kathleen E. Beeson

Kathleen E. Beeson, 99, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at The Willows Center. She was born April 26, 1917, in Williamstown, WV, a daughter of the late Howard “Pap” Reed and Lillie Nutter Reed. Kathleen graduated from Parkersburg High School class of 1936. She retired from the Chancellor Hotel in Parkersburg in 1979 where she worked in the cafeteria and was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, of Parkersburg. She is survived by a special niece, Susie Pinkerton (Ralph) of Waterford, OH; other nieces, Linda Kyer of Virginia Beach, VA. and Virginia Reed of NC; three great-nephews, Dennis, Brian and Allen Reed; close friends, Dave and Teresa Smith of Washington, WV; caregiver and friend, Barbara Friend. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Woody” Beeson; one son, Michael Edward Hickman; two infant children, and two brothers, Gilbert and Cameron Reed. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
