Karen L. Lambert, 74, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 2, 1945, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Walton E. and Stella Sebeck Smith. Karen worked for a time at the Parkersburg News and Sentinel. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. Karen was a member of the River Hill United Methodist Church and at one time crocheted blankets for children at the church. She was also a member of the Blenn-Mar CEO’s. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Lambert (Mari-Chu) of Virginia Beach, VA and James Lambert (Diane) of Parkersburg; her daughter, Kathy Jennings of Columbus, OH; nine grandchildren, Kerby, Chris, Katrina, Mark, Steven, Kristin, Kaitlyn, Kendra and Grant; and two great-grandchildren, Colt and Lilith Lambert. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Owen B. Lambert; and her siblings, Walton E. “Sonny” Smith Jr, Judith L. “Judy” Winans and Sharon “Faye” Davis. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, with Pastor Chuck Furbee officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
