Karen Sue Hathaway

Karen Sue Hathaway, age 62 of Marietta, Ohio passed away February 3, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born December 7, 1953 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Sams Offenberger. Karen volunteered many years at the O'Neill Center in Marietta and enjoyed bingo, playing cards and collecting cook books. She is survived by her ex husband, Stephen Hathaway of Belpre; her two daughters, LeAnn Welch (Eric) of Belpre and Julie Hathaway of Charlotte, NC; Kevin Wu of Conn., was like a son, whom she helped raise; two brothers, Robert Offenberger (Debie) of Belpre and Roger Offenberger and friend (Colleen Reynolds) of Marietta; one sister, Kathy White of Belpre; four half brothers from the Offenberger family, all of Marietta; her two grandchildren, Gavin and Owen Welch; her best friend of many years, Jean Offenberger; and several much loved nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre with Bill Eakle officiating, with no graveside service.
