Kara Leigh Rowan

Kara Leigh Rowan passed away peacefully November 12, 2015 after a long illness. Her mother and sister were with her at the time of death.She was born March 5, 1961 to Kenneth E. Rowan and Kathleen Kirkpatrick Rowan. Kara was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where for many years she helped in the nursery. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and a past member of The Vienna Woman's Club. She enjoyed traveling with her aunts and mom, doing cross stitch embroidery and reading.Kara is survived by her mother, Kathleen (Kay) Rowan; her sister, Kelly Rowan; brother-in-law, Marvin Eddy; aunts, Rose Marie Kirkpatrick Wolfe and Loraine Kirkpatrick Addison; as well as several cousins all of whom were special to her.She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth E. Rowan; grandparents, Inze Hayes Rowan and Frank A. Rowan, Charles I. Kirkpatrick and Grace Mullinex Kirkpatrick; aunts, Elzy Rowan Bransetter, Gladys Rowan Clinton and Norma J. Kirkpatrick Dinger; uncles, Frank H. Rowan, Charles H. Kirkpatrick and D. Dale Kirkpatrick.A celebration of life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church in Vienna with Rev. Emilie Theobald-Rowlands presiding. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.The family wishes to thank Rev.
