Kalum Austin Butcher

Kalum Austin Butcher infant son of Taya Yasmine Butcher and Dakota Jack Leisure gained his angel wings on April 14, 2016. Kalum was born January 16, 2016. He was a joy to be around, he loved giving kisses and cuddles. Although he was born early, Kalum had already started crawling, cooing and recognizing all the people that loved him. Even though he had such a short life Kalum brought such peace to everybody. He is survived by his mother Taya Yasmine Butcher; his father Dakota Jack Leisure; maternal grandmother, Mystyn Butcher of Parkersburg, W.Va.; his maternal grandfather, Dave Butcher of Vienna, W.Va.; maternal great-grandparents, Mark and Rhonda Morris Jr. of Parkersburg, Gary and Beverly Law of Parkersburg; maternal great-great- grandparents, Betty Beha of Parkersburg and June and Karl Moreland of Walker, W.Va.; also Taya’s special friend, Hunter Brown and his family. Kalum is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Jason and Cindy Leisure–Melrose; paternal great-grandparents, Gail Leisure Kerns and Bill and Debbie Melrose; paternal great-aunt and uncle, Toni and Steve Higgins and Austin. Kalum was preceded in death by two paternal great-grandfathers, Jack Leisure and Darrell Kerns; Paternal great–great grandmother, Betty Booth; two maternal great–uncles, James and Jesse Drain; maternal great-great-aunt, Regina Cronin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Tim Mendenhall officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
