Julius Donald “Don” Ogden, 87, of Vienna, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, February
5, 2024, at his residence.
He was born January 15, 1937, in Slate, WV, a son of the late Julius D. “Jude” and Dora D. Gregg Ogden.
Don was a 1955 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a machinist and tool and die maker for O’Ames and Keene Corporation for 30 years. Don enjoyed hunting and working with small engine repairs and was an all-around handyman. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Lori McNemar (Rick) and Tracy Eaton (Jamey); two sons, Rick Ogden (Barb) and Jim Ogden (Melissa); two sisters, Mary Daniel, and LeeAnn Shears (Leonard); grandchildren, Lindsay Cole (Randy), Ethan Ogden (Lindsey), J.D. Ogden, Jesse Eaton, Jacob Glaspell (Kara) and Samantha Thomas (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Natalie Cole, Braxton Ogden, Brody Ogden, and Sydney Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita F. Miller Ogden; sister, Peggy Dearth; and two brothers in-law, Bill Daniel, and Ron Dearth.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Evangelist Eddie Cooper. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
