Juanita L. Yglesias Wentzel, 84, of Parkersburg, passed away April 23, 2017. She was born March 23, 1933, in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Angel and Ramona Yglesias. Juanita (Boobie) was married to Herbert Wentzel for 52 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. Juanita worked for many years at the Y.W.C.A. Day Care Center in Parkersburg and volunteered her time in the nursery for MOPS. She was a member of the North End Church of Christ. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by two sons; Patrick Wentzel and his wife, Brenda of Parkersburg and Gregory Wentzel and his wife, Renate of Parkersburg; one daughter, Lanita Wentzel of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Marsha Wentzel Cooper and her husband, Patrick of Lynchburg, VA, Melissa Wentzel Grose and her husband, Kevin of Parkersburg, Emily Wentzel of Parkersburg and Nichole Scarpa of Parkersburg; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Grose of Parkersburg, Bradley Cooper of Lynchburg, VA and Aaron Grose of Parkersburg; one brother, Harold Yglesias and his wife, Sue of Parkersburg; several nephews, nieces and cousins; and special friend, Linda McClead of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Wentzel; three infants sons, Joseph Wentzel, Jeffery Wentzel and Douglas Wentzel; brother, Manuel Yglesias; and sisters, Carmen Hartleben and Julia Steele. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, WV with Steven Haguewood officiating and with a short graveside service and burial at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens in Parkersburg, WV. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
