Juanita June Fleming, born on August 10, 1926 was received into Heaven on April 20, 2019. She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Miller Naumann. Juanita was born and raised in South Charleston, WV., but her path through life as a minister’s wife took her to many places in West Virginia, as well as Maryland, Pennsylvania ,Tennessee, Louisiana, and Nebraska. She was a woman of faith with a lovely soprano voice which she displayed in many church choirs. She loved sharing God’s message with children as a Sunday school teacher and was a den mother with the Cub Scouts. Through the years she enjoyed quilting, gardening, and was an avid couponer. She had a heart for helping those less fortunate and found joy in the simple things of everyday life. Juanita had a sweet sense of humor that put a smile on many faces. As self-appointed Matriarch of the family, her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unmeasurable. Juanita was a graduate of South Charleston High School class of 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of the Washington United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children; Arch Elwood (Woody) Fleming Jr. and wife Marsha of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Mark Fleming of Mt. Olivet, WV., Tim Fleming and wife Cindy of Parkersburg, WV., and Diana Crislip and husband Joe of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Fleming (Kristy) and great-grandchildren, Brandt and Brayden and Brinley of Omaha, NE, Jamie Loehr (Eric) and great-grandchild, Mason of Plattsmouth, Nebraska Leigh Hinrichs (Nate)and great-grandchildren, Theo and Lilly of Blair, Nebraska, Meredith Stewart (Derek) and great-grandchild, Cullen of Westerville, OH, Allison McMurray (Josh) and great-grandchild, Kaya of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, Christopher Fleming of Lincoln, Nebraska, Matti Fleming, Lincoln, Nebraska, Betsy Karr (Dave) and great-grandchild Lynlee of Parkersburg, WV, and Brian Burcher (Tiffany) and great-grandchildren, Brandt and Ansley of Parkersburg, WV; a niece Roberta Aston Brown of St. Louis, MO., nephew Robert “Biff” Aston of Raymore, MO., and a dear friend Linda Haga of Charleston, WV. In addition to her parents Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Arch Elwood Fleming Sr. and a sister Freda Aston. A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday April 25, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastors Thomas McDowell and Mark Houser co-officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston, WV. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
