Joyce Lantz Wright

Joyce Wright, 73, of Williamstown, WV, died on March 30th at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Thurl and Loraine Lantz. Joyce graduated from Warren Local High School in 1962. She worked in the legal field for a time, then for Law International Steel for several years then was employed through several temporary agencies. She loved her family and grandchildren. Her hobbies were sewing and reading and she was an avid bowler on the senior league at Pike Street Lanes. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles “Chuck” Wright; one son, Mel (Susan) Wright of Washington, WV; one daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Thomas of Newport, OH; four grandchildren, Holly (Chris) Dawson, Tabitha (Justin) Brookover, Ashley Wright, Jeff (Ashley) Thomas and one great-grandson, Reese Dawson; also surviving are her brother, Ron (Eileen) Lantz of Mineral Wells, WV, and sister, Robin (John) Null of Coolville, OH. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by twin brother and sister, Teddy Leo and Kitty Lou Lantz and a sister, Sandra Eakle. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Jim Eakle officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
