There is now a video tribute to Joyce available on this site.Joyce Diane Knowlton, 59, of Parkersburg, W.Va., was called home while surrounded by family in her home on May 25, 2015.She was born November 15, 1955, in Parkersburg, W.Va. and preceded in death by parents Kenneth C. and Betty J. Smith, nephew Christopher Smith and niece, Amy M. McCullen.Joyce was a servant of God but found a renewed strength for teaching His love while battling esophageal cancer. She attended The Anchor Church, Parkersburg, W.Va. and was baptized by her brother-in-law prior to being called home. She was an avid gardener, craft hobbyist, home improvement enthusiast and devoted grandmother. Her unique energy, contagious laughter and loving personality brought a warmth and joy to all who met her.Joyce is survived in death by husband of 32 years, Craig Knowlton of Parkersburg, W.Va; daughter Allison Williams (Tyson), of Norfolk, Va; son, Tyler Knowlton (Brooke), of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and grandchildren, Zane Knowlton and BellaAnna Knowlton. In addition, immediate family survivors include two brothers, three sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St,. Parkersburg with Pastor Mic Cox officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions in Joyce's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
