Joyce Ann Frazier

November 26, 1951 — February 9, 2024

Joyce Ann Frazier, 72, of Washington, WV, passed away on February 9, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, James Michael “Mike” Frazier; son, Erik Frazier and his wife Holly; daughter, Heather Frazier and her husband Manny; nephew, John Galici, whom she treated like a son; granddaughter, Clara; grandsons, Hunter and Cooper; siblings, John Paul Sarver Jr., Eugene Sarver, Brenda Smith, Becky Sarver (Rick), Scott Sarver (Michael), Lesa Sarver Kinard, and Tina Prince (Earvy); her special aunt and uncle, Norma “Jean” and Karl Mantz; several other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends that were family, including Marcia and Rod Smith, Randy Simmons, and Diana Newton.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Mae Bucurel Sarver Harvey; father, John Paul Sarver Sr.; brother, Lee Sarver (Lori), brothers-in-law, Jerry Boozer and Ray Kinard; sister-in-law, Carolyn Wood; niece, Jill Galici; and nephews, Troy and David Wood.

Joyce was born on November 26, 1951 at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. She spent her early childhood in Merritt Island, Florida, where she played with her siblings on the beach, went crabbing with her grandfather, and danced to American Bandstand with her aunt Jean. Her family later moved to Parkersburg, WV, where she met her husband Mike in high school. She worked as an Export Documentation Specialist at General Electric for thirty years. Following retirement, she continued to enjoy reading the Bible, studying Bible prophecy, sewing, writing stories about her childhood, and spoiling her family.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will accept family and friends on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 2-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that donations be made to the Hospice Foundation of America or preborn.org
