Joyce I. Deem

Joyce I. Deem, 92, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away January 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born in England, February 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Henry John and Dorothy Agnes Evans Merritt. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of the Rockport Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Deem; three daughters, Karen Opalach (Tom) of Port Charlotte, FL, Maryann Hill of Little Hocking, OH and Joyce Helget (Tom) of Pensacola, FL; four sons, Joseph Guarrieri (Helen) of Lancaster, PA, John Guarrieri (Nell Ann) of Albany, OH, Vincent Guarrieri of Richmond, VA and Danny Parsons (Marites) of St. Albans, WV; three step-daughters, Cathy Conner (Darryl), Alice Reeves (Larry), Marcia Godbey (Jack) all of Mineral Wells; and one step-son, Richard Deem (Charlotte) of Mineral Wells; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her former husband, Cecil Dailey; eight brothers and sisters; a son in-law, Delbert Hill; and two step-sons, David Glen Deem and Harold Deem. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Evangelist Steve Morgan officiating.
