Williams, 62 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away April 4, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center after a short illness.Johnnie was born Dec. 27, 1952 in Parkersburg to Frances Surface Ball and the late Oral L. (Bud) Ball.Johnnie was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a graduate of Mountain State Business College. She was an employee of the U.S. Government Bureau of Public Debt at the time of her passing. She was previously employed by Corning Glass and Schott Scientific.In her youth she was active with the Job's Daughters and Girl Scouts. Johnnie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Vienna Chapter #151 and the Wood County and West Virginia Women's Democratic Club. She has been an officer in both organizations. In life, Johnnie and her family were Baptists by faith, with she and her husband, David being members of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkersburg. Johnnie grew up attending and was baptized at North Parkersburg Baptist Church. Surviving are husband, David Williams; sons, Brian Williams and Tyson Williams (Allison) of Norfolk, VA; brothers, Ed Ball (Judy) and Jim Ball (Judi) of Parkersburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and several aunts and uncles.A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Dr. William Thomas and Dr. Kurt Busiek officiating. The family will receive friends and family 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday with Order of the Eastern Star services to be conducted at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Johnnie's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
