Barker, 72, of Lubeck, W.Va., passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus surrounded by family. Mr. Barker was born in West Union, W.Va., a son of the late Cecil J. and Opal Jane George Barker.He was previously employed by the former Nelson's Drug Store in Parkersburg and Brockway-Demuth Glass in Vienna.Johnnie retired from Dupont, Washington Works in 2003 after twenty-two years of service.He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, dirt track stock car racing and NASCAR.He attended the Baptist Church.Johnnie is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Betty M. Full Barker; one daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Jonda and Tim Craddock and Christian Craddock of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Shirley Martin of Boaz, W.Va. and Naomi Messer of Panama City, Florida; two brothers, Roger Barker (Patsy) of Walker, W.Va. and Ralph Barker (Sharon) of Davisville, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Marvin and Russell Barker.Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, South Parkersburg with Reverend William R. Thomas officiating assisted by Evangelist Ronald D. Laughery.Services will conclude with interment in the Sunset Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Sunday.A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and family and friends who contributed to Johnnie's care.
