John Roberts Jr., 60, of Parkersburg, WV. passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024 at home with his wingman by his side.
John, or “Squirt” as his brothers called him, was born January 15, 1964 in Parkersburg to the late John and Connie Roberts.
He had a few careers throughout his life. He was a roughneck, yes, he did get dirty, but his dad made him practice yelling “FLAG” on the way home one time. He was a car salesman at Dils, McClintons, and Whartons, it is believed that he could sell ice to an Eskimo in the North Pole; and finally, he was a route delivery driver for Factory Motor Parts, he did more wheeling, dealing, and junking on his routes than he did at home.
The “Squirt” had many hobbies and interests. UFC fights and Nascar, finding hidden treasures and deals at the Flea Markets and yard sales, and buying and selling classic cars, always the salesman. He enjoyed the wind therapy in his Mustangs and on his Harley.
He is survived by his son, Jason Roberts (Brittany Wade), who affectionately called him “Daddio” and are expecting his grandchild, Ruby Theodore Roberts; his significant other, Missy Roberson; half-brother, James Longwell; half-sister, Heather Sunnafrank; and many nieces and nephews that called him Uncle John. Last but not least, his three brothers, his older brother and buddy, Jerry Roberts (Shirley), his wing man that was always there, Tim Roberts, and his runt little brother, Kelly Roberts. The Fantastic Four. When on the Harleys, The Four Horsemen, yes, they liked big time wrastling when they were kids, or just the “old Geriactric four.”
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Lynda Branch Roberts, mother of his son.
Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Until we see you again John. He ain’t heavy, he’s, our brother.
