John "Butch" Michael Moore

John “Butch” Michael Moore, 68, of Walker, WV, passed away December 19, 2018 at his home with family and loved ones, after an extensive battle with lung cancer. He was born April 23, 1950 in Waverly, WV, the son of the late Julena Bernice Green Moore and Fred Moore. He attended Williamstown High School and served a total of 27 years of service in the Military. Butch was a Vietnam War, Gulf War Veteran and a proud member of the 146th Medical Company. He worked for the City of Parkersburg, IVS Hydro, full time National Guard, Golf Club of West Virginia and Helen’s Restaurant. Butch is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Louise (Huxley) Moore of 32 years; children, Kristie (JuanCarlos Arauz) of SF California, Missie (Scott McCown) of Morgantown, WV, Janie (Paul “Tony”) McGrew of Walker, WV, Joshua “Jay” (Devena) Moore of Belpre, OH, Trisha (John) Pelchuck of Oyster Bay, NY and niece, Ginger Huxley of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Joaquim & Isabella Arauz-Moore, Ashley (Tyler) Wolfe, Tyler (Mary) Mcgrew and Jesse McGrew, Cayla, Joshua and Hannah Moore, Anthony Pelchuck and Ryan and Megan McGrew; siblings, James “Jim” Moore, Fred (Deborah) Moore, Francis “Sis” Winemiller, Brian Moore and Pat (Roseanne) Peters; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Moore and Jerry Moore; and sister-in-law, Judith “Judy” Moore. He was loved by many. A special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially nurse Amanda Mowery, and all the friends who were there to support him to the very end. Funeral services for “Butch” will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, with Pastor Gene Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery in Parkersburg, with military honors by the Parkersburg Post #15. Visitation will be at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018 and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Sunday.
