John Leroy Marlow, 80, of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, July 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1936 in Parkersburg, W.Va., the son of the late Lester Lloyd and Georgia Lucille Welch Marlow. He retired as a supervisor from E.I. DuPont after 35 years of service and also was owner/operator of Marlow's Fisheries. He served with the National Guard, attended the Celebration Center in Belpre, Ohio and enjoyed farming and fishery. John is survived by his wife, Vonda L. Cox Marlow; a son, Michael J. Marlow (Rhonda Smith) of Little Hocking; two daughters, Kimberly Whitecotton (Charlie) of Vienna, W.Va. and Cathy D. Camp of Parkersburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Michalyn N. Kay, Amanda D. Smith, Stephanie J. Cooper, Michael D. Camp, Melissa D. Lively, Adam L. Camp and Justin W. Marlow; and ten great-grandchildren, Taylor N. Fox, Jenna Blair, Jayden Nations, Tyler M. Camp, Jace P. Thornton, Emily L. Camp, Adalyn D. Camp, Weston A. Camp, Lane R. Lively and Preston M. Ridenhour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Marlow. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Ryan Clegg officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
