John Irvine Dunlap

John Irvine Dunlap age 80 of Williamstown, WV passed away peacefully after a short illness, Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1944, in Marietta, OH, a son of the late James Owen and Mary Aldena Enoch Dunlap. John attended Marietta Schools till 1958 and was a 1962 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran having served during the Viet Nam Conflict till 1970. John was retired from Fenton Art Glass. He was extremely generous in helping others, loved supporting children’s programs, loved animals and taking in strays and was loved by all his nieces and nephews.

John is survived by his wife, Jeanne Lee Dunlap; sister, Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Paul; nieces and nephews, Michael Paul, Leyla Paul, Katy Paul, Richard Paul and Landon Paul and several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley “Cricket” Dunlap; two brothers, Lynn Owen Dunlap and James Edmond Dunlap and his sister, Marla Maurine Dunlap.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
