John Monroe Dotson

Heavenly Father has recalled John to stand by his side. John Monroe Dotson, 79 of Parkersburg, passed away at his residence Monday, March 12, 2018 surrounded by his family and under the loving care of Hospice. John was born November 28, 1939, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Leslie Forest Dotson and Evelyn Elizabeth Shields. He was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Parkersburg Ward. He is survived by his wife, Linda Coleman Dotson; two sons, John Dotson and Brent Dotson; three daughters, Lisa, Joann, and Theresa; one brother, Leslie; two sisters, Sue and Miriam; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Parkersburg Ward with Doug Poole officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. till time of service at the church on Friday.
