John Paul Desmond

John Paul Desmond, 60, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was born November 29, 1964 in Parkersburg to the late Joseph Desmond Jr. and Martha (Billie) M. Affolder Desmond.

John loved his grandchildren, family, and friends dearly, along with his American Legion friends and “the guys” at Hope Gas. He enjoyed building kit cars and his bloody mary breakfasts.

Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Morgan Gray (Jake), Jesse McRobert (Eric), Stephanie Lewis (Scott); brother, Christopher Desmond; sisters, Amy Armstrong and Beth Desmond; grandchildren, Fletcher, Cooper, Daniel, Nathan, Lennon, Parker, and Frances; his girlfriend, Laurie McIntire, and his friends, Terry Vance, Doug West, and John Young.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Armstrong and his best friend, Craig McIntire.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the funeral home from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
