John Michael DePond

John Michael DePond, 64, of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away peacefully October 27, 2026, at the Willows Center in Parkersburg, WV.

Son of Flora DePond and the late Dr. Pete J. DePond, John was born January 25, 1962, in Morgantown, WV.

John lived a life full of love and kindness, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him. His resilience and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to many.

He was preceded in death by his father.

John is survived by his mother, Flora DePond; brother, Dr. Todd DePond (Jennifer); sisters, Susan Tracy (John) and Carrie Tarrant (Dr. William Tarrant); as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna. A funeral service to honor and celebrate John's life will begin at 12:00 on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna with Father Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
