John Keith Cayton

He was born March 20, 1953, in Weston, WV, the son of the late Wayne B. and Naomia B. Pratt Cayton.
John retired from Johns Manville. He was a devoted Christian with a servant’s heart. He attended and maintained Christ Mission Baptist Church for several years. John was a loving husband and wonderful father. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching races and sports.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Cayton; children, John Cayton, Jr. (Christa), Rose Persinger (Brian) and Robert Cayton (Sarah); stepdaughter, Amy Cook; two brothers, Jim Cayton (Pam) and Wayne Cayton (Donna); twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his dog, Buster.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two sisters, Patsy Darlene Marks, and Phyllis Naomia Tracewell; and grandson, Joel Waldron.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Mark Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
