Joan Elaine Lavery

Joan Elaine Lavery, 91, of Vienna, WV passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Wyngate Senior Living. She was born December 27, 1934 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Gust and Mae Elofson.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family and was a long time member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Vienna. 

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda A. Lavery (Scott Miller) of Vienna; one son, David Lavery (Ron Herdman) of Las Vegas, NV; one grandchild, Erin Listermann (Chris) of Charleston, WV; four great-grandchildren, Landyn, Brylee, Annie, and Maverick Listermann.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lavery whom passed in 2014; and an infant sister.

A memorial gathering will take place at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
