Joan K. Caltrider

Joan K. Caltrider, 75, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on October 11, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born August 29, 1941, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Willard and Wanda Roberts Ewing. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1959. Joan enjoyed gardening, shopping and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of forty two years, Roger L. Caltrider; her three children, Herbert L. Ewing (Michele) of Waverly, W.Va., Karen S. Doss and Bryan S. Caltrider (Valarie) both of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren, Tim, Ryan, Jessicca, Ashton, Travis, Kendra, Dani and Ryder; great-grandchildren, Mason and Brylee; one brother, Jack Ewing (Carol) of Williamstown, W.Va.; her best friend, Deanne Tibbs of Washington, W.Va.; and her beloved dog, Betty. In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by her grandson, Austin. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Mike Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
