Jo Ann Schott

Jo Ann Summers Schott, 92, of Vienna, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 31, 2025.

Daughter of the late Fred and Carrie Congleton Summers, she was born June 7, 1932, in Parkersburg, WV. Jo Ann graduated from Parkersburg High School as student-body President in 1950 and went on to work for Dupont as a secretary for 26 loyal years. She enjoyed cats, was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Wayside United Methodist Church, where she also attended “The Wednesday Lunch Group.”

In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Curtis Schott; and brother, William Paul Summers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Banks Schott (Tina); sister, June Brown (Robert); granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Schott; as well as several other family members and friends.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home Vienna with Pastor Sandy Runnion officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, as well as one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.
