Jim Wigal, 85, of Vienna, passed away February 1, 2026, he was born July 19, 1940, in Parkersburg a son of the late Seldon L. Wigal Sr. and Leona Kaufman Wigal. Jim attended PHS, is a US Navy Veteran, Retired from International Union of Operating Engineers after 50 years of service. He belonged to Vienna Lodge 172 A.F. & A.M. a member and past monarch Ben Bey Grotto, Scottish Rite and Nemesis Shrine, he was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Vienna. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and being with his cattle.
He is survived by his wife Judi Mattern Wigal, 3 daughters, Tammy Burton(Joseph) Rockport, WV. Mindi Martin, Big Pine Key FL, Lori Malone of Parkersburg. 2 sons Mark Wigal(Johni) of Parkersburg, and Derek Wigal of Parkersburg. One Brother, Seldon Wigal Jr., of Parkersburg. Ten Grandchildren, Hannah(Jon)Mersing, Jake Wigal, Monica Wigal(Matt Thompson), Taylor Willison(Ryan), Billy Thompson(Makayla), Danny Roberts(Chrissy), Ben Roberts, Katerina Hall(Tristan Wind), Jay Hall(Tori), Christian Axman(Kacee). Several Great-grandchildren, a sister in-law Betty Wigal, Brother in-law Gorge Wood, special friend Lee Buckingham, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother Larry Wigal, a sister Patricia Wood and a sister in-law, Ruth Ann Wigal.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Thursday February 5th, Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vienna with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Full Military Rites will be conducted at the Church. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, RT 68 below Lubeck, WV. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday, at Lambert-Tatman of Vienna and 1 hour prior to services, at the Church.
Memorial Donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Parkersburg Humane Society.
