Jerry Wayne Lantz

Jerry Wayne Lantz, age 81 of Parkersburg, WV passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1943, in Riverton, WV, a son of the late Russell Lantz and Evelyn Lambert Lantz VanDevender.

Jerry was retired from the IBEW local #307 where he was an electrician. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to flea markets.

Jerry was a master storyteller, always with a tale to tell, but was always ready to share the best news of all, Salvation through his Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his son, Russ Lantz and wife Michelle of Brown Summit, NC; sister, Shirley Phares of Cinnaminson, NJ and grandson, Tyler Lantz of Brown Summit, NC.

In addition to his parents Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Mick Lantz.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
