Jerry L. Davis Sr., 78, of Vienna, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born October 18, 1932 in Wood County, a son of the late John Lloyd and Belva Josephine Sams Davis.Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Demuth (Brockway) Glass after 23 years of service. He was a member of F.O.E. of Parkersburg and the V.F.W. Post 8127 in Vienna. Jerry enjoyed making bird houses, fishing, and camping, and was a former member of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.He is survived by his wife, Janet Lyons Davis; two daughters, Judy Tibbs of Parkersburg and Jennifer Davis of Charleston, WV; two sons, Jerry L. “Rick” Davis Jr. and wife, Mary of Parkersburg, and John Davis of Vienna; one step-daughter, Wendy Lyons and one step-son, Gary Lyons both of Parkersburg; three sisters, Susie Pearl Davis, Ruth Pruney, and Becky Martin all of Vienna; one brother, James Howard Davis of Vienna; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Mae Flowers Davis; one son, Randy Lee Davis; and one sister, Mary Davis. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor John Douglas officiating. Burial with full Military Honors by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
