Jeffrey Allen Cornell, 47, of South Carolina was born in Parkersburg, WV, passed away suddenly at his home doing what he loved, working. Jeff was a veteran in the U.S. Army, based in Germany during Operation Desert Storm. He served five years with an honorable discharge, receiving a purple heart. Jeff is survived by his #1 woman, his mother, Jean Robinson of Ohio and his father, Fred Cornell Jr. of WV. He is also survived by the love of his life and wife, Tina and their two children, Damian and Lyndsey; a special friend that he took under his wing and raised like his son, Lawton Kindig and his brother, Zeb; two sisters, Missie “Melissa” Cornell and Melody “Dummie” Leonard; many half and step siblings; a special friend, neighbor and adopted sister, Carrie O'Dell of Missouri; and his friend, Mike. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and Betty Braniff; his paternal grandparents, Fred and Maxine Cornell Sr.; his best friend and companions Tesa Marie and Darla Mae his loving and devoted pets. Jeff believed hard work will get you what you want. He started Cornell Custom Carpentry Commercial and Residential in Missouri, doing unique and rare custom work and remodeling. He was trusted and admired by many in his profession. He will be missed by many family, friends, clients and business partners. A memorial service for family and friends will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre with visitation from 12 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to help with final expenses. A luncheon will take place at the Belpre community building following services on Wednesday.
