Jeanie Corbitt Hutton-Higgins

Jeanie Corbitt Hutton Higgins, 85 of Rockledge, Florida, passed away June 12, 2026 at her residence.

She was born September 29, 1940 in Wood County, W. Va., the daughter of the late Harold M. Corbitt and Mary Geneva Enoch Corbitt.

She was very proud of her lineage and her birthplace, West Virginia.

She was the devoted wife of Robert Gene Hutton, Sr. for 56 years until his passing in 2014. She was later blessed with a second great love, spending 8 years of marriage with Norman A. Higgins. What a sweet love they shared together until her passing.

Jeanie is survived by her husband of 8 years, Norman Higgins; her children Dr. Robert (Bob) G. Hutton, Jr. of Canton, Ohio; Eric Hutton (Michelle) of Omaha, Nebraska; Laurie Dixon (Mike) of Powell, Tennessee; Jayna Davis (Don) of Rockledge, Florida; and Kent Hutton of Vienna; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelley D. Brown; grandson, Trevor Hutton; great-grandson, Corbin King; brother, Richard Corbitt and son-in-law, Jeff Cox.

Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. and funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with her son Dr. Robert (Bob) Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at the Palestine Cemetery, Wirt County.
