Davis age 85 of Parkersburg passed away September 15, 2010 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH.She was born in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Charles S. Lockhart and Della A. VanFossen. She was a 1943 graduate of Parkersburg High School, was retired from the Bureau of Public Debt, was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a part of the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class, active in Girl Scouts, Daughters of the American Revolution, James Wood Chapter and enjoyed needlework and traveling.Jean is survived by one daughter Barbara D. Smith (Robert) of Vienna; one son Dr. Richard L. Davis (Jane) of New Cumberland,PA; two nephews C. Michael Lockhart and Robert Lockhart both of Parkersburg; grandchildren Christina Ruehl (John) of Parkersburg, WV, Lauren Smith of Roanoke, VA, Sean Davis (Mylissa)of Woodinville, WA and Sarah Davis of Alexandria, VA.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence E. Davis; two sisters Onalee Lockhart and Dora E. Lockhart, one brother Lloyd Lockhart.Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday September 18, 2010 at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 on Friday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green Street Parkersburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
