Janis L. Rost

Janis Kimble Rost passed away April 23, 2018 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Janis was born in Wood County, WV, on January 6, 1932 to the late Charles E. and Hazel Wiggins Kimble. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1949. She worked in the medical field for many years for Dr. Athey Lutz, Dr. Eric David and St. Joseph’s Hospital. She is survived by her husband, John M. Rost of Walker, WV; two sons, John E. (Pam) Rost of Parkersburg, WV and Charles Derrick (Barbara) Rost of Walker, WV; son in-law, Richard Rodda of Wilmington, NC; grandson, Robert Shawn Rost of Salt Lake City, Utah; granddaughters, Jordan (Joshua) Moore of Raleigh, NC and Jesse (Kyle) Husk of Vienna, WV; sister, Sue Emrick of Mineral Wells, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Lynn Rodda; and brothers, Charles R. Kimble, Max D. Kimble and Rex E. Kimble. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Deerwalk Volunteer Fire Department. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
