Janice Lea Swisher

Janice Lea Swisher, 75, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home with her family at her side, after a long courageous battle with cancer.She was born July 5, 1939, in Jonben, Raleigh Co, W.Va., the daughter of the late Jodie and Willa Wills Pegram.Janice was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed reading, crafting and her family.She is survived by her only daughter, Marcia Fisher and her husband, Dennis of Marietta, Ohio; one grandson, Jeremy Fisher and his finacee, Meghan Peters, both of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Bobby and Randy Pegram, and Donnie Mann, all of Raleigh County, W.Va.; and one sister, Karen Rubin of Beckley, W.Va.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland “Gale” Swisher; and her sister, Joanne.There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the IOOF Cemetery in Cairo, W.Va.The family wishes to convey a sincere thank you to Dr. Nik Shah and his staff at Camden Clark Oncology Center for their excellent care and support and to Amedysis Hospice for their care of Janice.
