Janice May Fordyce

July 9, 1946 — December 8, 2024

Janice May (Toney) Fordyce of Mineral Wells, WV passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 8, 2024. She was born on July 9, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Herbert and Wanda (Bell) Toney.

Janice was a homemaker and worked many years as a cook at Cedar Grove Assisted Living in Parkersburg. Janice enjoyed playing poker, thrifting, and cooking for her family.

Janice is survived by her sister, Elaine (Tom) Casey of Lewisburg, WV; children, Debbie (Wayne) of Chloe, WV; Jody (Vern) of Elizabeth, WV and; Bill (Shawna) of Mineral Wells, WV; daughters-in-law, Shawna and Jeannie; grandchildren, Haley, Stacey, Elizabeth, Vicki, Sasha, Travis, Marli, Geoff, Raney, and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Raylen, Wrenley, Rowyn, Layton, Javon, Jayse, Rhett, Noah, Laynie, Laila, Auldon, Harper, Emberly, and Willow; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children Jody, Tia, Stephanie, Jed, and Thomas (Toad); grandchildren Ashley and Samantha; and brothers Roger Roberts, David Toney, and Keith Toney.

In keeping with Janice’s wishes, there will be no services. Special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for their continuous care.
