Janet L. Thomas

Janet L. Thomas age 79 formerly of Elizabeth, WV passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Arcadia Nursing Facility, Coolville, Ohio surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 7, 1937 in Calhoun County, WV, a daughter of the late Lexie and Dollie M. Hughes Miller. Janet was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church, Little Hocking, Ohio. She is survived by her two sons, (Junior) Philip Thomas Jr. (Beth) of Little Hocking, Ohio and Richard Thomas (Lottie) of Arnoldsburg, WV; her four daughters, Beverly Roberts (Dale) of Coolville, Sandra Harmon (Jim) of Belpre, Cathy Griener (Ron Martin) of New Cumberland, and Linda Null (Mike) of Elizabeth; one brother, Johnny Miller of Mt. Zion, WV; two sisters, Wanda L. Miller of Mt. Zion and Mary Riggs of Little Hocking; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her special cat Sweet Pea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Thomas Sr.; one brother, Donald Miller; and one sister, Barbara Riggs. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Ed Beatty officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arcadia Nursing Home for their love and care given to Janet.
