Janet Sue Sams

Janet Sue Sams, 74, of Parkersburg, went home to be with her Heavenly Father and her family on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1943, a daughter of the late Argil Richards and Mary Norman Richards Johnson. Janet retired from Foodland as an office manager after 25 years of service. She enjoyed knitting, collecting lighthouses and taking care of her granddaughter, Madie. Janet was a member of South Side Southern Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Russell Delbert “Pete” Sams; daughter, Jeannie Moore of Parkersburg; brother, John Richards of Belen, NM; one granddaughter, Madilyn “Madie” Moore; and special friends, Kimberly Skinner and Doris Edmond. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager and Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
