She was born June 10, 1936, in Wirt Co., W.Va.Janet was a homemaker and was also employed with Sears for several years. She enjoyed people in general and was always a good neighbor and friend. She also very much enjoyed traveling.Surviving is her loving husband of fifty-five years, Shirley C. Sams; two grandsons, Aaron H. Jones and wife Stephanie of Portage, Wisconsin, and Brian W. Jones and wife Jessica of Richmond, Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Kaeli, Taylor, and Sydney Jones.Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Lynn Kennedy in August 2009.Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. Interment will follow at the Hill Grove Cemetery of Wirt County. The family will receive friends from 3-6PM on Tuesday July 13, 2010, at the funeral home.
