Janet Carolyn Boyce

Janet Carolyn Boyce, 76, of Rockport, WV went to be with her Lord on February 1, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. Janet was born at home in Elizabeth, WV to the late Gola Sr. and Dorothy (Powell) Gant on January 11, 1941. She was the most loving mother and wife. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Boyce, her loving children Connie Boyce of Rockport, WV, Karen Boyce Thompson of Butler, PA, and Tim and Patricia Boyce of Ravenswood, WV. She was so proud of her six grandchildren; Noah Davis of Logan, WV, Doreen and J.R. Mitchell of Le Roy, WV, Ashley and Ian Gamble of Butler, PA, Corey Thompson of Eerie, PA, and Eric and Jesse Boyce of Ravenswood, WV. Her world lit up with the births of her great- grandchildren Macey, Cohen, and Lincoln. She was a wonderful sister to Sonny (Gola Jr.) and Charlotte Gant as well as Dave and Barbara Gant, both of Elizabeth, WV. Her nieces and nephews were such a joy to her and she loved them very much. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother James (Jim) Gant. Janet was a member of the Rockport Church of Christ, where she was seen as a pillar of faith by her church family. We would also like to express our thanks, appreciation and love to her doctor and all the medical staff. Dr. Kelly Cawley was such a loving blessing, support and friend by her side through her entire cancer battle. God bless you Kelly! Services will be officiated by her son, Tim Boyce, ministers Jay D. Smith and Steve Morgan at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home on Pike St., south Parkersburg, WV.A. Burial will follow at Limestone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
