Smith, 75, of Vienna, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord Sept. 29, 2010, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born June 8, 1935 in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of the late Foster and Dorothy Grogg Smith. He served for two years in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg in 1990 after more than 30 years of service. He loved camping and was an avid trout fisherman.James is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lenora Smith; three sons, Danny and his wife, Sheila of Parkersburg, Curtis and his wife, Karen of Port Wentworth, Ga., and Jason and his wife Renee of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Shirley and her husband, Sam of Morgantown, W.Va.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph.Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Charles Grays officiating.
