James W. Neal, 65, of Parkersburg, formerly of Gallipolis, OH, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on September 22, 2015.He was born February 7, 1950, in Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late James Neal and Violet Leftridge Hollinshed.James was a graduate of Charleston High School with the class of 1968. He graduated from West Virginia State University in 1974 with a BA degree in Political Science and University of Rio Grande in 1986 with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. James was employed by Kyger Creek Power Plant in Gallipolis, OH where he was Control Room Supervisor. He was a member of the Ancient York Lodge #33 Prince Hall F. & A.M.James especially enjoyed life, traveling, sports and dancing. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Leslie Dianne Neal; three daughters, Selease “Lisa” Weir (James) and children, Jordan and James of Canton, OH, Anessia “Ne Ne” Holley and children, Imani and Cevon of Matthews, NC and Valinda “Kaye” Neal of Charleston, W.Va.; two stepson, Jason Craig and children, Kira, Owen, Vegas and Jaidyn, Bradly Craig (Michele) and children and one grandson, Kyra (son-Jaiden), Kaylee, Bradley Jr. and Anthony of Parkersburg, W.Va.Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Zion Baptist Church, 8th & Clay St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Charles Grays officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.Private burial will be held for the family at Sunset Memorial Park in Charleston, W.Va.
