James William “Bill” Hollon age 74, of Belpre passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1944 in Gallipolis, Ohio, a son of the late James W. and Opal R. Singer Hollon. Bill was a US Air Force Veteran and was owner and operator of J.W. Hollon Trucking, where he was a driver for over 50 years. In earlier years, Bill loved golf and enjoyed watching his Western movies. He was a member of the Little Hocking Evangelical Methodist Church, where he was past Lay Leader and Sunday School Teacher. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rhonda Morton Hollon; four daughters, Sherry Barse (Richard) of Parkersburg, Teresa Burdette (Scott) of Waverly, Shannon Walker (Randy) of Belpre, and Kyla Lee (Wil) of Tenn; one sister, Janice Parker (Robert) of Marietta; two brothers, Gerald Hollon (Sheila) of Carroll, and Rickie Hollon (Mickie) of Long Bottom; grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Steven, R.J., Sarah, Jared, Breanna, and Tyler; 14 great-grandchildren and twins due in February 2019; and one special son, Donald McClead of Marietta. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Ed Beatty officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
