James Chadwick Hodgson

James C.Hodgson, 43, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Friday December 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1977 in Parkersburg, WV a son of James Hodgson of Parkersburg and the late Belinda C. Hall Drake. James was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He was a welder by trade. James loved hiking, being outdoors, hunting, and was an avid WVU fan. In addition to his father he is survived by 3 daughters; Amandaand Emma “Ucky” Hodgson of Belpre, and Savannah Hodgson of Mineral Wells, WV. 3 sisters; Christy Deans (Rick) of Virginia, and Tiona Burgy (Izzy) and Missy Scott (Jason) all of Parkersburg. 1 brother; Jeff Fury (Amanda) of Parkersburg. His birth father; Patrick Burgy of Parkersburg, Grandfather; Paul “Pap” Holbert of Parkersburg, special uncle and aunt; Mark and Teresa Holbert of Vienna along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special niece Kate Hornbeck of Belpre and his close friends Chad and Bobbie Walker of Belpre. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother; Patrick Burgy, Grandmother; Barbara Ann Belt “Mam” Holbert, and an uncle; Jeffery Paul Holbert. A funeral service will be held 6:00pm Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Janet Richards officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-6pm at the funeral home. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed.
