James Lewis Dean, 80, of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away January 17, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He was born March 2, 1935, in Williamstown, the son of the late Walter Richard and Minnie Edith Hockenberry Dean. He graduated from Williamstown High School in 1953 and served as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion Post #159. He worked for the Airolite Company as a laborer and retired with 35 years of service. James enjoyed hunting and sitting on the front porch waving to his friends.He is survived by his wife, Rowene Cameron Dean; one son, James Dean, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Williamstown; one daughter; LeAnn Hendershot and husband, Michael of Lowell, Ohio; grandson, Kent Dean; granddaughters, Charity Dean, Andrea Hendershot and Emily Hendershot; and great-granddaughters, Hope Pickens and Emalynn Delong. A private funeral service will be observed by the family. As per his wishes there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Dept.
