James D. "Jim" Flanagin

James D. “Jim” Flanagin III, 46 of Williamstown, WV passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Williamstown.

He was born October 28, 1977, in Leonardtown, Maryland, a son of James D. Flanagin Jr of Williamstown and Luann Cornell of Fairmont, WV. Jim was employed for the City of Williamstown and enjoyed coaching wrestling and football for the Williamstown youth. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and several other musical instruments, golfing, podcast and going to parties.

In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his wife, Candace Ferguson Flanagin; children, Stella, Miles, Maximus and Malea Flanagin; sister, Aubrey Wilson (Brady) of Huntington, WV; father and mother-in-law, Kevin and Tina Ferguson of Williamstown; sister-in-law, Crystal Hune (Adam) of Williamstown; uncle, Richard “Rick” Masters (Maria) of Florida; aunt, Linda Cornell (Gaye Coates) of Maryland and three nieces and nephew, Kyra and Ethan Wilson and Olivia Hune.

Jim was preceded in death by his aunt, Lois Cornell.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Williamstown High School.
