James Edward Barker

James Edward “Jim” Barker age 74 of Davisville, WV, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1943 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Floyd T. Barker and Della Yeater. Jim was owner and operator of Barker Roofing Company and enjoyed hunting, antique cars and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Michelle Dennis Barker; his children, James Barker Jr. of North Carolina, Teresa Duncan of Ohio, Jon Barker of Elizabeth, Scott Barker, Krisy Barker, Jerome Barker, James Place, and Jimmy Weaver all of Parkersburg, Tiffany Barker of Newark, WV and Sara Dennis of Davisville; five brothers, F. Tom (Missy) Barker, Jr., Lenny (Kelly) Barker, Rick (Mary) Barker, Billie Paul (Maddie) Barker and Billy Delancy; four sisters, Shirley (Rob) Duley, Anika Sue Barker, Mary Miller, and Rebecca (Tony) Civitillo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one granddaughter; six brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Bob Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Ayers Barker Cemetery, Smithville, WV. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
