James A. “Jim” Albright, 77, of Parkersburg, passed away at his residence Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He was born February 18, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late William R. and Esther Lundburg Albright.
He was a 1965 graduate of Parkersburg High School and an inspector for WV Dept. of Highways, former owner of Brass Works and co-owner of Albright’s campground. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1118 of Parkersburg. He enjoyed boating, camping, music and vacationing.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lois Kay Albright; one daughter, Jamie A. (Bobby) Barber of Parkersburg; two brothers, Joseph W. (Joy) Albright of Perry, Ga and Mark A. (Linda) Albright of Parkersburg, WV; two grandchildren, DeAndre and Darohn Barber; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Dianne Albright (1979) and Cynthia Renee Albright (1981); sister, Mary A. Rotunda (1979) and granddaughter, Deziray Barber.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 pm at the Albright Campground. Following will be an urn scattering, leaving from Point Park at 5:00 pm.
